WIŚNIOWSKI has obtained an Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) for its aluminium pergolas, developed in accordance with the EN 15804+A2 European standard and the guidelines of EN ISO 14025.
The declaration was issued by the CERTBUD Sp. z o.o. certification body (Warsaw) and remains valid until 1 October 2030.
The certification confirms that WIŚNIOWSKI solutions are designed and manufactured in line with the principles of sustainable development, while the company’s environmental communication is based on a reliable Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) covering every stage of the product’s life cycle – from raw material extraction to end-of-life processing and recycling.
WIŚNIOWSKI pergolas – comprehensive solutions for the home and garden
The declaration covers the entire family of aluminium terrace and garden solutions:
- ECHO Bioclimatic Pergola – a modern canopy system with automatically rotating louvres, ensuring comfortable use regardless of the weather conditions.
- ECHO Carport – a lightweight, durable, and aesthetically refined car shelter based on the pergola structure, protecting vehicles from rain, wind, and sunlight.
- Slide Glass System – a sliding glass enclosure system that preserves the continuity of space between the interior and its surroundings.
- ZIP Screen – an innovative solar shading system that enhances the functionality of pergolas and carports.
These products are manufactured at the WIŚNIOWSKI Sp. z o.o. S.K.A. production facility in Wielogłowy and consist of approximately 80% aluminium and 18% steel, enabling a very high recycling rate, with more than 98% of materials recoverable at the end of the product life cycle.
Transparency and environmental responsibility
The EPD was developed using actual production data from 2024 and independently verified by experts from CERTBUD Sp. z o.o. and TBF Systemy Jakości. The Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) covered all key stages – from raw material extraction (A1), transport (A2), and manufacturing (A3) to recycling and the reuse of materials (C1–C4, D). As a result, the data obtained enables a reliable assessment of the pergolas’ carbon footprint and overall environmental impact.
EPD as part of the WIŚNIOWSKI strategy
Obtaining an EPD for aluminium pergolas represents yet another step in the implementation of WIŚNIOWSKI’s sustainability strategy, which includes transparent assessment of the environmental impact of the company’s entire product portfolio. WIŚNIOWSKI already holds Type III Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) for the following product groups:
- Fence systems
- Garage doors and industrial doors
- PVC joinery
- Glazing units
