We have implemented a complete package of EPDs for aluminium joinery! This way, we are confirming our commitment to sustainable development and ensuring transparency of environmental data required in green building certification processes such as BREEAM and LEED.
The scope of the newly developed declarations includes:
• aluminium windows,
• aluminium doors,
• sliding doors,
• façade systems and internal partition walls,
• fire-rated joinery (windows, doors, and walls).
The declarations have been prepared in accordance with the EN 15804+A2:2019 standard and verified by the CERTBUD independent notified body. An EPD (Environmental Product Declaration) is a verified Type III environmental declaration that presents a product’s environmental impact throughout its entire life cycle (LCA – Life Cycle Assessment) in an objective, comparable, and measurable manner – from raw material extraction, through manufacturing and use, to end of life.
This marks yet another stage in the implementation of the WIŚNIOWSKI environmental strategy, which includes a systematic expansion of the range of products covered by EPDs. The company already holds EPDs for:
• fence systems,
• garage doors and industrial doors,
• PVC joinery,
• steel joinery (including fire-rated products),
• glazing units,
• and pergolas.
The implementation of a full set of EPDs for aluminium joinery represents an important step in carrying out WIŚNIOWSKI’s ESG strategy, the priority of which is to support partners and investors in delivering projects aligned with the principles of sustainable development.
