Safety in your home

Safety in your home

The contemporary home is increasingly seen as a space that supports regeneration and a sense of security. Alongside aesthetics, solutions that genuinely protect household members and simplify everyday life are becoming just as important. The answer to these needs lies in modern entrance doors which redefine the concept of home security by combining advanced technologies with solutions that make daily living easier.

RC2 and RC3 classes – what do they mean in practice?

RC2 and RC3 are European burglary-resistance classes that define the level of protection provided by door joinery. RC2 protects against attempts to force the door using simple tools such as a screwdriver, wedge, or small crowbar. In the case of NOVA doors by WIŚNIOWSKI, this level of protection is maintained even when the leaf is not additionally locked with a key. This solution is particularly appreciated by users who value security without having to remember to lock the door with a key every time.

RC3 provides a higher level of protection and is recommended for buildings with an increased risk of burglary. In NOVA doors, this level is achieved when the door is locked with a key and fitted with a dedicated RC-class handle. In practice, this means an effective barrier even against more determined attempts to force entry.

A lock that takes care of your security

One of the elements that influences everyday comfort is the automatic three-point lock. The mechanism locks the door immediately after closing, without the need to use a key. This solution improves the stability of the leaf along its entire height, increases resistance to forced entry, and reduces wear of structural components. In daily use, this translates into peace of mind – the door remains secured even when household members leave in a hurry or have their hands full.

A solid structure is the foundation of durability

The effectiveness of security features depends not only on the technology, but also on the structure. A leaf made of thicker sheet provides resistance to impact and deformation, maintaining its properties over many years of intensive use. The aluminium opening frame ensures dimensional stability regardless of the weather conditions, reinforces the entire structure, and remains corrosion-resistant with minimal maintenance requirements.

Details that genuinely enhance protection

Anti-burglary bolts secure the leaf on the hinge side and effectively hinder prying attempts. These are solutions that remain invisible in everyday use, yet are crucial from a security perspective.  Additional protection can be provided by a premium-class 6.D lock cylinder, resistant to drilling, manipulation, and force-based methods. In doors with glazings, laminated glass is used, which remains intact even after breakage, and optional burglary-resistant glazing is also available, significantly slowing down attempts to force the leaf.

Integration with smart systems

NOVA doors can be integrated with modern access control systems, enabling remote management of their functions. Via a mobile app, the user can check the door status, open it remotely, or receive real-time notifications. Optional reed switches allow the door to be connected to an alarm or smart home system, informing about its opening or incomplete closing and triggering programmed security scenarios.
